ABOUT Kat
I began coxing when I was 12 and am 31 still on active rosters. In the onset of my career I led my novice boats and varsity boats to undefeated seasons. Together we won races such as, The Head of the Charles, The Head of the Schuylkill, San Diego Crew Classic, Saratoga Sprints, and USRowing Regionals and Nationals.
I elected to continue my career at Syracuse University where I knew that a challenge awaited me. It was in my four years at Syracuse where I learned how to cox a boat from behind, how to lose gracefully and how to build a NCAA ranked team. My senior year break through moments were winning The Head of the Charles for the second time, and coxing the Varsity 8 to a bronze medal finish at the Princeton Chase and ACC’s. After college, I moved into the masters/alumni racing divisions.
To date, I humbly share that in my career I have won 47 gold medals, 10 silver medals, and 6 bronze medals.
The sport of rowing opened a lot of doors for me. I truly wouldn’t be who I am today without this sport. If I can have a small hand in helping the future generation that’s what I want to be doing and that is my happy place.
I have stayed close to the sport meanwhile working my corporate job. I recently decided to come back full time and pursue Koxswain Lab.
