If I ever compete in an 8+ at the Head of the Charles again, I’d want Katherine to cox. She knows exactly what’s needed to win: how to motivate and build a true team, how to improve technical skills and, on race day, how to navigate fastest course past others. I’ve competed in many coxed races and she was by far the most professional and delivered the greatest successes.

There is no one quite like Kat! She is the most efficient and goal-driven person I have ever met. As my mentor at the Connecticut Boat Club, she has set a remarkable example of what coxing truly means. Her deep knowledge of rowing and her experience in every imaginable coxswain situation make her invaluable. Kat embodies positivity and teaches the perfect balance between being demanding and motivating as a coxswain. She is dedicated and always willing to go above and beyond. Kat’s ability to seamlessly blend the roles of coxswain, coach, and mentor makes her truly exceptional.

As a rower at CBC, I have had the privilege of being coxed by Kat almost every time she visits. Kat can take a boat that is rowing in a new lineup for the first time and cox us into rowing well together within just one practice. Kat’s competitive nature has not only brought her success, but is spread to anyone in her boat. Kat’s dedication extends beyond coxing and coaching us throughout practice. She is an amazing mentor and I know I can always count on her for advice. No matter how busy, Kat is always available to talk and guide our team toward making our boats move faster.

I had the pleasure of being coxed by Kat during our time at Syracuse together. She was my first Varsity cox and I felt like I was able to adjust to the intensity of training and racing that collegiate level rowing required much more quickly thanks to her guidance and leadership. She is a formidable force in and out of the boat, a hard worker, supportive teammate and is so enthusiastic about getting the most out of any athlete and cox. I have some great memories from Syracuse together and I hope we can row together at some point in the future!

Kat coxed me during our collegiate career at Syracuse. Over those four years, we were able to move Syracuse from an unranked NCAA D1 team to ranked. We trusted Kat to get us through those hard practices and down the race course. She has an ability to see people’s strengths in the boat and help a rower lean into them. Kat is a fierce competitor and I’ll forever cherish our memories at Syracuse we got to race together.

When I think of Kat, I think of many words to describe her like loyal, tough, beautiful, smart, witty and much more. But if I had to choose one word to describe her it would be passionate. Kat shows her passion on a daily basis by being there for you such as sending a check in text or guiding you through a difficult situation or pumping you up during highs and lows that life throws at you. Every single thing Kat does in her life is through passion, whether that’s rowing, career, family, travel or community. Kat is the older sister I never had, she is always giving me advice or making sure I am okay even when I think no one is around or aware. Kat is always aware and around! People in life have successes and failures. That’s just life. But the point is, it’s what you do with those moments in life, and what Kat does is use passion to make it better or continue to strive. As a collegiate coxswain at a D1 program, I would not be there today without the help, guidance and most importantly the passion of mentors like Kat. I hope everyone is lucky enough to be able to experience this level of support as an athlete and cannot wait to see how far Kat goes.

I’ve never met anyone more dedicated to their work. Kat is always the hardest worker in the room. She builds lasting relationships with her recruits and her clients, and is always willing to go above and beyond for them. Kat is responsive, resourceful , and responsible. She anticipates needs before they are even asked for and always brings her A game. A true professional in every sense of the word, her creative problem solving and outside the box thinking never ceases to impress me.

I had the pleasure of working with Katherine while she was working for Divurgent, and I can confidently say that she is one of the most professional, hands-on, critical thinkers and people person I have ever had the opportunity to work with. One of the things that impress me about Kat was her ability to critically and creatively solve problems, she was always looking for ways to improve a process, and her innovative ideas often lead to significant improvements in efficiency and productivity. Kat is a joy to work with on a personal level. She’s kind considerate, has a great sense of humor and has a natural ability to connect with people, and she always went out of her way to make sure everyone felt included and valued. She is a true asset to any team, and I am confident that she will excel in any position she takes on in the future.

Where to even begin? Kat is simply wonderful at her job. She defines the expression "servant-leadership" in that she consistently ensures that her team always has what they need to be successful. I have worked for many firms and under the direction of many people in the seventeen years I've been in the field and have rarely felt as well valued as I have with Kat. Any time I've had a question or need, her responsiveness has always been immediate. She under promises and over delivers (a quite uncommon trait these days).

Kat is the main reason I have elected to stay with Divurgent, even when very good offers from competitors have been dangled before me.

As Kat’s coworker for nearly 5 years and direct manager for 1.5 years, I had the privilege of watching Kat grow and find an immense amount of success at Divurgent. Kat is a caring, thoughtful, and incredibly hard-working individual. Kat tirelessly supported her clients over the years and as a result, became their ‘go-to’ person for any consulting or staffing needs. As a result of her efforts, she became one of two top producers (by a wide margin) at Divurgent. Kat is a joy to work with, a ‘doer’, energetic, and someone that I hope to work again with in the future.

Kat is just built different, out of all of my clients she’s one of the few that I never have to worry about being “on top of”. She is all about the details. Kat thinks of everything, but that’s just who she is: DIFFERENT. But most importantly she CARES, and never gives less than 100%. Always finding ways to push herself, quick at fixing problems on the spot. One dope thing I like about her is she also pushes others, doesn’t even need to know you if she’s around you and sees you struggling she’ll cheer you on. Kat has this way about her for helping others while making herself better that’s unique. She’s a fighter and that’s what makes her KAT!
